Vicky and Bob Ullrich Birchler pulled out all the stops to make this event possible once again for the Swiss expats. The Birchlers, Schönbächlers, Zehnders, etc. were all delighted. Many of them brought their family trees and other historical documents along – including a passport for unmarried individuals from the canton of Schwyz. Einsiedeln mayor Franz Pirker, who was a member of the EAE group, and Brian Warren, representative of the Louisville city government, jokingly fought over the services of usher Bruno Kälin in their official address.
