In the fall of 2017, the business "Milkmanufaktur Einsiedeln" exported its "Swiss Abbey Mountain Cheese" for the first time to be sold in Greater New York. Encouraged by success, cheese from Einsiedeln may be purchased for the first time in the shop of the monastery St. Meinrad in Indiana, in the future possibly also in Louisville and in other American cities.
