In April and August, 2015 the team "Einsiedeln elsewhere" arrives in Louisville for 10 days each. People with roots in Einsiedeln assemble and want to know about the undertaking. Expectations are quite high that a bridge between Louisville and Einsiedeln could be built. We are informed that various families are still in contact with their relatives in the cloister village, are visiting each other, send Christmas letters, and keep in contact via e-mail. Others, however, of the third, fourth, fifth, and even sixth generation living in Louisville have no contact to home of their ancestors, but are quite interested. Only few have a Swiss passport, and nobody speaks German anymore.

April 13, 2015 ninety people with roots in Einsiedeln had come together in Louisville and wanted to know about the project.

Susann Bosshard-Kälin is in touch with numerous people and families of Einsiedeln origin. Paolo de Caro and Martina di Lorenzo undertake their first researches by taking pictures or by filming. Historian Dr. Heinz Nauer uses the time for research in archives and libraries and receives valuable assistance from Dr. Donald Tritt.
